It is only with the help of friends like you that CAFRED is able to help these deserving children and their families by furthering existing programs and beginning new projects in far-flung communities across the region. The Mission CAFRED provides educational opportunities for rural Central American young people by locating, building and staffing schools, developing and nurturing teachers, strengthening and refining community structures and developing and supervising programs.The Vision We invite you to join us and our partners in our vision to build a just, prosperous and democratic Central America through the education of its rural children. CAFRED and our partners – local parents, teachers, village governments, ministries of education, local businesses and international donors -- see a world in which all younglearners in rural Central America can fulfill their promise and potential through access to a safe, comfortable school, staffed by competent teachers and administrators and supported and encouraged by their families, communities, and national governments. These professional educators will be in charge of the planning, decision making, execution, monitoring and follow up of all programs put in place by CAFRED.
