We invite you to join us and our partners in our vision to build a just, prosperous and democratic Central America through the education of its rural children.  CAFRED and our partners – local parents, teachers, village governments, ministries of education, local businesses and international donors -- see a world in which all young learners in rural Central America can fulfill their promise and potential through access to a safe, comfortable school, staffed by competent teachers and administrators and supported and encouraged by their families, communities, and national governments.

CAFRED's mission is to provide educational opportunities for rural Central American young people by building and equipping schools, training teachers and developing social networks to support these goals.

Please save this date: Friday, November 6, 2009! That is the date of our launch party at Duffy's Irish Restaurant at 2106 Vermont Avenue, NW, Washington, DC, one block from the Metro (U Street/Cardozo- African American War Veterans Memorial exit). It will take place between the hours of 6 and 10 PM and Andy Duffy will be donating 200 Buffalo wings at 7 PM, so come early! Duffy's Buffalo wings have been voted the Best in Washingtonian Magazine for two years straight!! There will be a short presentation at 8 PM introducing our NGO!
