Our Approach

CAFRED leverages financial and technical assistance and in country resources to secure the sustainability of the schools it builds. CAFRED also strongly emphasizes and facilitates the professional development of teachers and implements extra-curricular programs and activities that improve the school experience for children. CAFRED promotes team building, encourages parents to stay involved, trains and monitors teachers to become better instructors, and seeks to improve the educational experience for the child, thereby increasing attendance and decreasing the high repetition of grades normally found in rural schools.
